Today, I didn't have much to do aside from putting teak onto my bookshelf. The process was easy but tedious as I had to paint 2 coats of teak onto my entire bookcase. I was able to do most of the painting before lunch, and I only had about 10 minutes of work after lunch. The most tedious part about the teak is that I had to wait 30 minutes after application before I could start on the second coat. After I finished painting on all of the teak, I attempted to wipe the excess off with a rag, but I wasn't that successful, so my bookcase is a little bit sticky. After that, I helped Ryan and Mr. Grisbee reorganize the spare wood in the Tinkeria. Once we were done reorganizing the wood, Emma and Avery stopped by to do something, and I was told to help them cut some wood (I still have no idea what they wanted, but they walked away looking happy so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯). Then they came back, took some nails, and walked away again.
During the course of this term, I learned a great deal about woodworking and would like to apply those lessons later. I am very pleased with my two projects and am excited that I get to take them home next Wednesday (after M-Term presentations). The biggest lesson that I will take away from this M-Term is precision; by being more precise, I wasted less and ended up with a better product (mostly). By applying more precision in my life, I hope to get more out of it. I will miss this M-Term for a myriad of reasons, some being: the fun I had, the lessons I learned, the projects I made, the lack of homework, the longer lunches, and many more.
