Final Blog (Mia Franks) - what we did today and a Final Reflection of the term

I started the day by putting the finish on the DM screen. the finish took a minute to put on, but takes a while to dry. I probably should have tried to do it last night before I went home.

the next thing I did was struggle with the computers trying to get adobe illustrator to work. but through a lot of technical difficulty, I end up not being able to do almost any of it. until I switched to a different computer. Mr. Grisbee's to be exact. and I was able to spend the rest of the morning working on it.

I finish and started a book today. I finished Little Thieves. and I started The Merciful Crow. Both Books are written by the same author. the book I finished was the same one I listen to a lot yesterday, and it was really good. I hated the beginning and absolutley loved the end.

after lunch, we came back to the room and I finished the bit I needed to get done with Adobe Illustrator. then I got the wooden panels in the machine one at a time. when each one came out I screwed in the clipboard clips. when they are all done I am going to screw them together to make them a DM Screen!

and that is everything we did today.

Final Reflection:

when I first started this term I thought it would have a lot more downtime. like the last day would be just doing whatever you want. but this term has not been that at all. there was always something else needed to get done, from cleaning, to drawing, to blogging (what I am doing now). another thing is important to me is that every lesson we had, it wasn't a lesson were we used that technique once and moved on, we had to use that thing over, and over, and over again. which I really appreciate. a lesson that doesn't take you far, or you never use, isn't my favorite lesson, those are the lessons and terms I dislike the most! also, the box project took far longer to finish than I thought. I thought I picture frame would be took easy and wouldn't take long, but I was wrong, the box project took almost a week and half to finish. this is definitely one of my top 2 terms, I have ever had. I loved how it was crafty, yet had a lot of good math in it, so you brain was always moving. I liked that we each made our own projects and not one big one together. I am really proud of the DM screen that I made. it looks great! and has lots of super useful tools in it. I will be using for years to come, since I am also a Dungeon Master. I might even try to retake this term again next year or my senior year! who knows! overall, I learned a lot from this term and it taught me a lot of useful things. especially about one of the hobbies I used to do sometimes. there is more I can definitely talk about what I learned from this term but I need to finish some other things.
