The third day of woodworking we learned new technique's for cutting and we also finished our walls for our boxes. The three things we learned are miters, dadoes and rabbets. Miters are where you cut at a 45-degree angle so you can have corners. Next, we learned about dadoes which are the little notches in your wood so you can nicely fit your lid. Lastly is rabbets which are groves along the edge to create a strong joint. To cut the miters and dados we used the table saw used the router for the rabbets. All of these cuts took time because they had to be precise
By the afternoon we had perfect walls and were ready for the next stage.
