Day 7 (Leo) - Gluing my bookcase together

My plan for today was to glue together my bookshelf and spend the rest of my time burnishing my box for a second time, and helping others when needed. I did a dry fit of my shelf as soon as I got into class and discovered that I needed to trim down the width of my shelves so that they would fit cleanly. I also had to widen one of my rabbets so that the bottom would fit onto the side properly. After I trimmed down those pieces, I did another dry fit to make sure that they fit this time (they did), then I glued my shelves and the sides together as we didn't have enough clamps to do the whole thing in one go. It took around 2.5 hours to wait for the glue to dry. In that time, I burnished my box for the second time (it's now complete), stood outside for 20 minutes because the fire alarm went off for no reason, only in the Tinkeria (annoying), and helped Kamilla clamp down her stool for gluing. After lunch, I undid the clamps on my shelf and noticed that one of the sides of my shelf did not set properly. I used some epoxy and some more powerful clamps that Mr. Grisbee bought over lunch to make the shelf fit properly. After that there was nothing to do so I sat there for a while while watching glue dry. After the glue had dried I put the top and bottom on am waiting for that to dry over the evening. I am very happy with how my box turned out and I really like how smooth it is.

The monstrosity of clamps used to hold the shelf in place

Same as above but my box is on the shelf and its from another angle
