Today was a my-face-hurts day. why? well, I think I am breaking out from something, though I don't know what it is. it could be the new medicine I am on, the wood, or the plastic googles I wear a lot during this M-term. either way, My face hurts and I hope to fix it by not wearing the googles and taking a long shower when I get home.
I started the day glueing the last panel of the DM screen. it didn't take long and Made me feel great about getting all this work done.
after I cut the edges of the dice tower into 45 degree angles (or maybe its called mighters, or rabbits).
a bit later in the morning some of the elementary students (6 graders and younger) came to our room (maybe building) to see what we are doing. from what I can tell they are working on some woodworking project, I think they are making boats made of wood, though I could be wrong. we told them about our most interesting projects, like Ryan's side table or Kimilla's small stool. when my project was introduced they had no idea what Dungeons and Dragons were, so it was quite awkward. most people don't know about DND until sometime in high school. they can learn about it earlier but high school is when it really is known. anyway, after we showed them some of our projects, we showed them how the saw works and cut some wood on it for them to see. though what they really wanted to see was the CNC router. it took a minute to get working and then Alex cut what she wanted on the router.
the book I listen from today was Little Thieves. I just started this book this morning and not like yesterday afternoon, like other books I have been listening from. this book is also on my aunts top 5 favorite books. so she is very happy and excited that I am listening to it.
this afternoon I worked further on the dice tower. I had a lot of help from Mr. Grisbee to get the cuts for plexy glass. which are two long cuts most of the way through the wood. then after he help me get the cuts I glued the walls of the dice tower together. tomorrow, I plan on making the small cuts for the things in the dice tower.
and that is all I did today.
