Day 9 (Jonah) Final Touches and preparing for Glue-Up

Today was my last day using the Miter Saw, so after a late arrival to school due to an orthodontist appointment (my braces days are numbered), I sprang into action to set up the saw behind the Tinkeria and started cutting the last pieces for my wall boards. I had to recut a few to fit into their assigned areas. I also had a hard time cutting vertical pieces that were the same length. To help me, Mr. Grisbee measured the length of a perfect piece and clamped a stop block onto the saw fence to cut all the pieces to the desired length. After a visit from Mr. Grisbee's father, who inspected our projects, and the amazing 1-hour lunch break (a staple of M-Term), I continued sizing the correct pieces before Mr. Grisbee corrected a small issue with my spacing. In anticipation of gluing my final project, I sanded the base frame with the hand sanders, but it was not to be. With only 40 minutes until the end of the day, there was no time to glue. The saga of waiting continues. Overall, today was fairly productive, even though I did not complete my goal of gluing today, I am satisfied with my work.
