M-Term Day 1
Today is our first day of Woodworking M-Term, during this course we will get to make two projects over the course of two weeks and learn new skills. The first project we get to make is a box, and second is our personal project where we get to make what we want. In the morning we sketched our project plan for our box project, when you do this, you have to be very precise with your lines and numbers as one mistake can cause you to get the wrong amount of wood. After lunch, we got a lesson on resawing and milling. We will use these two techniques for our projects. To show we understood the lesson, we got a raw piece of wood and had to make it S4S (smooth on 4 sides), to do this we had to follow the steps. First, we used the jointer, next the table saw and lastly the planer. After we had S4S wood, we had to resaw it I did not get to do that since I left early.
